Oh, the Woes of Modern Technology

The title sums it up - after a very frustrating 3 hours compiling pictures, splicing videos into montages, and planning an epic photo-dump post the likes of which has been hitherto unseen in these here parts, Brett and I have thrown up our hands. Poor Brett worked so hard to get a post together, but for the life of us, we can't get any photos to upload. Sparing you all the gory details, here are some of the things he's dealt with:

- imgur.com (the site we use to upload photos, and the only one that's worked for us in China besides Facebook) will let him connect and view other people's pictures, but not upload any of ours;
- my computer will allow me to upload to imgur...but the photos are on his computer;
- my 500 GB hard drive is configured for Windows, so Brett can view the files I've put on it, but can't add or delete any from his computer in order to move them to mine;
- the DVD-Rs we bought in China are also not configured properly to allow burning of pictures or video files;
- and finally, in our last-ditch effort to put a few photos at a time on his 8 GB thumb drive and slowly move them to my computer assembly-line fashion, somehow his thumb drive became corrupted and, though it's completely empty (no hidden files or anything!), it says anything we try to put on it is too big. Anything. At all. Even things that we know will fit.

So. We're really annoyed. He's currently uploading everything to Facebook (although we're not sure why that works and imgur doesn't...) and we'll post a link to the album here for all of you non-FB users.

Here is the Facebook album of all of our pictures! Videos will be forthcoming...
